Thu 2 May, 4pm–5.30pm at Patch Theatre

Inspire effective learners and learner agency through Patch practices.

Patch Theatre specialises in designing immersive arts experiences for children aged 4 to 8, fostering a sense of learner agency. Our unique approach ensures that children are not spectators but integral participants in our installations, actively engaging with the experience, developing creative thinking and ideation skills. We invite you to explore how this model of active participation can be applied within the classroom to inspire more effective and engaged learners.

Attendees will:

  • See a sneak peek of Patch’s interactive installation Superluminal

  • Hear from Patch creatives:

    • Geoff Cobham – Superluminal Co-Director and Patch Artistic Director

    • Zoë Barry – Superluminal Co-Director/Composer and Telstra ARIA Music Teacher of the Year 2021

  • Participate in a workshop led by Early-Childhood Educator and Researcher Anne-Marie Shin and discover how you can use play to generate possible lines of inquiry across arts perspectives such as story, design and embodiment.

Meet Patch's creative team, gain skills to inspire effective learners, and earn a professional development certificate, all with a glass of Hither & Yon in-hand.
